Nursing home care planning associates are being recruited to fill nursing home care plan vacancies as part of efforts to keep up with demand for nursing home workers, a nursing home company said Thursday.
Nursing home plans are facing a shortage of nurses in nursing homes, with about 5,000 vacancies nationwide.
They have also been struggling with staffing shortages due to the Affordable Care Act’s healthcare reform.
Nurses are hired through job placement agencies.
The jobs pay between $15,000 and $25,000 a year, with the higher paying jobs often requiring at least a bachelor’s degree and a four-year degree in nursing.
The pay is dependent on the state of the state, the type of work, and the size of the nursing home.
